February 20, 2022 - Austin, Texas
We flew down to Austin for the weekend and stayed with Erynn's sister. It was 47 degress at the start and only rose to about 62 degrees by the finish. The course was hilly, and Doug ran 10 miles the day before to see how he'd do on tired legs. There must have been 10,000 runners and it was shoulder to shoulder the whole 13.1 miles. We both finished with the time of 2:05.28. Probably the coolest thing is the medal's ribbon has Velcro so you can remove it and turn it into a belt buckle!
