October 10, 2022 - Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa
The kids competed in their first ever organized triathlon. The course was 50 yards in the pool, two 1-mile loops around the Wartburg College campus and then two laps around the track. The weather was perfect with temps in the low 70s and sunny. JB accidentally did three laps on the bike, but both finished strong and (we think) had a decent experience.
In the late spring the college sponsors a full sprint triathlon for adults, and this event was meant to be a non-competitive (no times were taken) exposure for smaller kids to get into the sport.
